There are countless things you can do to change your life for the better, but there is only one way to find out – by starting!

So you decided to become big and build your confidence to move forward. What comes next? It’s time to change your life to get what you want. If you want to be a great person, you have to change your life and change yourself. You won’t know how long it will take you but know that you can start getting great today!

It is not a one-day process. Nor you can change in a very short time. It is a gradual process to learn and continuous improvement.

Why change your life

You have to change your life because you ARE your life. You cannot change yourself by living the same life over and over again. The least successful people in the world are the ones who stay the same all their lives. Those who succeed are those who have continued to evolve. Change is challenging, it’s scary and tiring, but it’s the only way to become better than you are now. If you have the will and sacrifice to change, you can become much better than you imagined.

Why are some people so afraid of change?

People are often afraid of change because it can be a daunting task to try something new. It can be hard to adjust to a new way of living or working, and it can be difficult to accept new ideas.

Change can also bring anxiety and stress, which can make it difficult to focus on tasks. There is always the chance that change will not be successful, which can lead to feelings of frustration and despair.

There can be other reason too!

They don’t want to change their lives

These people may have already succeeded or they may not know what they want. Or they are afraid or do not want to change. That’s the craziest thing about hating change. If you hate change, that means your goals are crap. I’ve never met a person who doesn’t want something better than what they have today.

It’s not about earning a lot of money or driving fancy cars. But in a spiritual way, like feeling more alive and contributing and enjoying life more according to your own destiny. Some people talk about change as difficult, not fun, and not exciting. To those, I tell them that it’s your goal that’s difficult and not fun/exciting. Go find yourself a new job, a new girlfriend or a new ambition that will make you want to change. Live life to the fullest!

Some want to change but not 100%. Some will try to be what they want by changing 98% but it doesn’t work! Unfortunately, the laws of the universe don’t work that way. If I’m wearing a suit and I want to go running, I’m going to have to completely change my outfit if I want to become an accomplished runner. I can’t just add a pair of running shoes, I have to change completely into running gear. My analogy may be crappy but what I mean is that you have little time and energy in your life. If you try to split it, nothing you do will be really successful.

Without this true desire within you, you will never give enough of yourself to succeed. You may have enough talent to accomplish something but you will never reach your true potential.

The first step is to know where you are in your life. The next is knowing where you want to be. Then you want to know if you are on the right track to get there. Many people realize that they are not happy, but many do not know where they want to be or how to move in the right direction. The first step is to be aware of the things that affect your life!

Probably everything that happens to you affects your life. You may not realize it, but it is. The way you wrap your hands, the first person you greet in the gym, the direction you take while stretching, the friends you have, the music you listen to, everything you do affects your life. You can live like a zombie and just be a reaction to the environment around you or you can wake up and start making changes on as many variables as you can to give yourself the best chance in life.

The more aware you are, the more alive you are. The longer you are alive, the more control you have over your life. The more control you have, the more strength you have to change your life into whatever you want!

Make conscious decisions

It is only when you are finally awake that you are able to realize all the ways you can influence your life. By becoming aware, you can begin to accept responsibility for everything that happens to you.

You can only change by focusing on you. If you don’t know what your weakness or point of improvement is how can you improve it?

Accept responsibility for your life

you must accept responsibility for anything that happens to you! No more blaming your bad parents, bad situations, bad genes, bad luck. Take responsibility for the time and energy you have now and use it for what you want. If you can’t at least do that, you have no right to complain. It isn’t asking to work at 100%, it is asking to live at 100%.

Make big decisions that will get you where you want to go. We take the path to greatness not because we are sadistic and like to work hard and suffer but because we like a challenge and live to the best of our abilities.

The secret is to decide for everything. Starting today, you can start making the decisions that will affect your life. Don’t wait to let outside people and outside influences affect your life. The only time you let others decide for you is when they know better than you.

In the end, these are big decisions! Once you have decided on something with great conviction, there is nothing that can stop you.

always keep your goal in mind

Whenever you decide on something, have a goal in mind. Before deciding anything, ask yourself, “Will this decision bring me closer or further from my goal?” You can apply this rule to every decision you make.

When you set your alarm to wake up the next day, you have to ask yourself what time should you set the alarm clock if you want to become a mindful person. Originally you may have thought of getting up at 9 am or at any time, but now that you are questioning yourself, you are giving yourself the opportunity to make a big decision!

But you can’t stop there, you have to keep questioning yourself with everything you do during the day. When you are hungry and thinking about eating something, maybe you can eat something that will help you in your goal. When you are bored and watch a video on Youtube, maybe you can watch something that will help you achieve your goal. When you go out with your friends, you need to think about how they could potentially distract you from your goals. There are so many things that seem unimportant but they all add up. Everything you do in one way or another forms habits or consequences that can affect your future. You can make conscious decisions by questioning everything you do.

It doesn’t matter so much that you don’t have all the right answers. What’s important is that you’re aware enough to care and think about all those variables that you didn’t even notice before. With constant awareness of what you are doing, you will eventually become more savvy and discover the right answers for yourself.

Achieve greatness

to change yourself for the better you have to stop excusing or becoming overconfident. Start respecting yourself. Your life should be your job. If you don’t love your life, it’s because someone else has influenced it more than yourself.

Change is in the journey, not the destination

There’s a popular saying that goes something like “success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.” Change for greatness, of course, isn’t always measured in terms of success or failure. But it’s often said that the key to achieving greatness is in the journey, not the destination. This is certainly true for athletes and even more so for business leaders. But what about us who are neither but wants to change our life for better? Well, it’s the same thing! Change is a journey not a destination!

How do you know you are making the right decisions

How do you know you’re living the right way? No one knows if what you are doing is the best thing to do. But the fact that you tried and took charge of your life now puts you in control and it’s only a matter of time before you discover the exact adjustments to becoming a great person.

I’d say 90% of the things I’ve tried have been an absolute waste of time. But the other 10% really helped me. And 2% of that made me better than anyone. Finding that 2% made the useless 90% ultimately worthwhile. That 2% of greatness is why you have to give 100% in everything.

Only when you’ve tried absolutely everything you can can you ask for better. Even then you’ll realize that there are so many things in life that you haven’t done yet. Knowing this keeps you humble and lets you know that you haven’t achieve your full potential but getting closer.

Conclusion

Every decision you make during the day potentially brings you closer or further from your goal. If you are aware of this, you can change your life, change yourself, and become the success you want. Or you can stay there forever, follow someone else’s instructions and wonder why you have to wait so long for success.
